Thames Gateway WTW Contract Award
3rd Light Media are pleased to announce the award of a prestigious contract, working on the UK’s first desalination plant, Thames Gateway WTW.
Located on the footprint of Beckton STW, the Gateway site was the first of its kind in the UK when it was originally commissioned in 2010. The site takes water from the tidal River Thames and has the capacity to provide water for up to 400,000 households across London. Now at 10 years old, the site is currently undergoing a refurbishment programme.
We are working in partnership with SMB JV, our initial scope is a complete site wide P&ID and Asset Verification survey as part of the outline design phase of the project. Our scope also includes O&M Documentation development as the project progresses. Our site engineers will begin by reviewing, redlining and updating 50+ P&ID drawings, as well as collecting technical data for over 3,000 assets.
